Simple Pleasures #8

soundLast weekend some friends invited us to see The Sound of Music playing downtown at the Hobby Center. I love live theater and I love musicals. Although I, like every other American, knows Sound of Music backwards and forwards and sideways, it was still so much fun to see it performed live. This of course meant that I had no problem hearing or understanding every word, whether spoken or sung. Fortunately, all of the audience members behaved with decorum and didn’t sing along (I’m looking at you, concert goers.)

The whole day gave me even more pleasure when, in the car ride down, we fantasized about the political parody version of the play, featuring the hit single, “How Do You Solve a Problem Like The Donald?” Feel free to contribute your song titles in the comments, coming up with some might be a simple pleasure for you, too.
